The odd thing is I know plenty of people that have had the opposite in results.
One guy I know actually had his engine totally dry of oil when he got
home. (well, probably enough to get home obviously, but not enough to
read on the dipstick.
In the end, they replaced the engine, but not after quite a bit of
going round-about with upper-management, and the management below
saying that all of the bases were covered, etc.
Many other cases, also.
If it's under warranty, I'll take it to the dealer though. Nothing
like free service. ;)
I do most of my own work, anyway. Having only a motorcycle now makes
life that much easier too.
