Thanks for your suggestions, but lets compare to the
xterra:
xterra
265 hp v6 engine
0-60 in 7.7secs (not a racer, but merging on the
freeway is good)
60-0 breaking dry: 135ft
60-0 breaking wet: 158ft
length: 179
width: 73
height: 75
wheelbase: 106
curbweight: 4,480
front/rear wieght distrubution: 52/48
xterra s invoice w/power pkg: $21,078
escape hybrid
155 hp 4cyl engine (200hp v6 available for non-hybrid)
0-60 in 10.7secs
60-0 breaking dry: 141ft
60-0 breaking wet: 153ft
length: 175
width: 72
height: 70
wheelbase: 103
curbweight: 3,845
front/rear wieght distrubution: 57/43
invoice: $25,049
The Xterra is cheaper and off-road capable, while the
escape gets better gas milage but can't really go off
road. The Escape doesn't meet my price or
functionality requirements.
