This assumes something like a linksys for a router:

Default DHCP Server Range: 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.254

Statically set the printer to be somewhere in the range of 192.168.1.2 -
192.168.1.99 with a Netmask of 255.255.255.0

Solves a couple of problems, such as finding the device each time it is
powered up if it gets a non-static ip address.
