And as illustrated here, I prefer to *craft* my messages:
Fold in snippets of previous messages as seems appropriate,
to support what I'm going to say, and cut the rest. Any
professional writer spends a substantial amount of his time
cutting stuff out, and re-reading the result, till it says exactly
what he wants to say. You can't do that with 247 lines of
quotes and stale footers.
