Not necessarily. If he just got a 'quick connect' only exhisting wires are
used. If the house is wired with RG-59 than that is what is being used. As
too relocating the modem: for that too work he would have to know how the
splitters are placed around his residence. In reality, HSI doesn't require
much signal. If you can place a tv on the line at the outlet and get a clear
picture it is not signal loss.
