Definitely a good idea, Even using this dialup I get hit a lot,
sometimes the entire time I'm online.
I do run IPcop on my firewall and it works pretty smoothly,

It lets you know it's working because the hard drive LED blinks every
time it gets 'hit' by the outside and an entry shows up in tty12.
