This is likely because of something else running in the background
somewhere -- I believe someone else posted about it earlier. Try
looking for any extraneous dead.letter.tmp files in the other home
directories on your system and looking at the contents. It will likely
explain more than I can. =o)

Well, it won't be executed in the .xsession-errors file -- you need to
put it into your .xsession file instead (.xsession is typically run
like a shell script every time you start X). Also, how do you normally
start KDE? From a graphical login manager, or straight from the shell?
