Tags for email client

Anyone know of an MUA that allows users to apply arbitrary tags to their
messages ... then sort based on those tags? Kinda like the lable
feature in Thunderbird/Mozilla ... oh duh ... JUST LIKE GMAIL ... 'cept
I wont be sending business email to google.
