experienced with whiteboxlinux and centos
suggest centos as they are clearly more timely (I agree with Russ)
KDE is optional - can choose to install at set up time.
RHEL has a rather 'unordered' set of utilities for configuration...
RHEL 3.0 (or centos 3) - most are available from the Start->System Tools
or Start->System Settings (tui = text user interface)
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-network-cmd
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-network
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-network-druid
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-network-tui
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-printer-tui
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-printer
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-network-gui
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-packages
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-printer-gui
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-services
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-proc
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-kickstart
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-bind-gui
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-bind
/usr/sbin/redhat-config-netboot
/usr/bin/redhat-config-mouse
/usr/bin/redhat-config-securitylevel-tui
/usr/bin/redhat-config-network-cmd
/usr/bin/redhat-config-network
/usr/bin/redhat-config-network-druid
/usr/bin/redhat-config-printer-tui
/usr/bin/redhat-config-printer
/usr/bin/redhat-config-date
/usr/bin/redhat-config-keyboard
/usr/bin/redhat-config-time
/usr/bin/redhat-config-authentication
/usr/bin/redhat-config-language
/usr/bin/redhat-config-rootpassword

/usr/bin/redhat-config-packages
/usr/bin/redhat-config-services
/usr/bin/redhat-config-xfree86
/usr/bin/redhat-config-nfs
/usr/bin/redhat-config-proc
/usr/bin/redhat-config-samba
/usr/bin/redhat-config-httpd
/usr/bin/redhat-config-bind
/usr/bin/redhat-config-netboot
In RHEL 4 (centos 4), the designation is system-config as opposed to
redhat-config but since the only centos 4 install that I have running is
completely without X, there are far fewer listed...
