Nothing there. So no reason to continue to next step. See if your boot
kernel messages (dmesg output) is saved at boot time and check there. Or
manually look at "dmesg | more" to find your CD.

/dev/hdd may be wrong. Your kernel's boot messages will tell you where
your CD is.

> root@localhost:~# ls -la /mnt


You can skip this step, because previous step failed.

(If you are curious, your /mnt can be remounted to hide the contents that
you did see.)

As for disabling supermount, maybe have a look at "man supermount".
(Hopefully, it explains it.)
