I'll tell you in one word Quicken.
My wife Ellen, has used Quicken for over 12 years.
She will NOT use anything else.
She has ALL of our accounts on it. She used Windows for all of those years
for mostly that reason. Now I have gotten her off of Windows and on to
OS X because Quicken runs on it. She couldn't import all of our accounts
at once, but was able to bring it in piece-meal. She likes Quicken on
OS X better than on Windows.

And because of that, we can say that our house is Windows Free.

I however have no such constraint. I have used Linux only for quite a few
years.
