I planned on installing ubuntu on a box with a previous Xandros open source
install. Before wiping out the previous distro, I tried the Live CD.
Booted slow (understandable) but, once up, every time I moved the mouse
(actually track ball) I got many windows opening up on top of each other,
flashing scrolling, coming to the top, moving to the back, and so on. Also,
the insertion point of the track ball kept bouncing all over the place.
Stop moving the track ball and eventually the flashing and scrolling
stopped. Try to close one of the windows with the close X and the light
show starts again.
I got bold, blew away the previous distro and installed ubuntu from the
install CD. Same show.
Anyone else get to see this show?
