Failed to load pcmcia_core

I have a poweredge 1750 that is new and I isntalled Debian and then went
from a 2.4 kernel to 2.6.10 kernel and afer a restart I get :

"Starting PCMCIA services: Error : Failed to load pcmcia_core"

But since I do not have any pcmcia slots any way to fix I just need to
remove pcmcia support from the kernel is that correct?
