Hi Everyone -

I am working on getting these questions answered. I will let you know
what they come back with!

The location is Downtown Phoenix.

Thanks
Sidney

Sidney,
A couple of questions, if you can answer them...
1) Are they looking for someone who can implement the Mobile Media API
(MMAPI, JSR 135) on a Linux-based handheld (MMAPI is a J2ME technology),
or are they trying to do something more esoteric?
2) I assume they're looking for someone to provide the native
implementation code, JNI interface and SPI interfaces, is that correct?
3) Are they looking to produce a proprietary implementation, or will the
end result be open source (GPL, LGPL, MPL, BSD, etc...)?
4) Do you have an approximate location (i.e. other city/state, or
NE/SE/NW/SW/Central Valley)?

    Hi Group!

I was wondering if you can help me with the following Contract.
I have a client that needs a Software Engineer for a 1 year assignment
that can work with the following:

Day to day tasks might include ones similar to the following.
    1) Implementing JSR135 MMAPI Porting Kit (VolumeControl for
Linux reference implementation) so multimedia experience a big plus.
    2) Collaborating with research team regarding media related
questions for the customer specific implementation
    3) Implementing test code for JSR135 MMAPI Porting Kit

    Future contractor could help with:
    1) Implementing full video support for JSR135 MMAPI Linux
reference implementation (requires C,C++,Java, MIDP skills)
    2) Porting JSR135 MMAPI required by specific customer
engagements that would include development (C,C++, Java), testing , TCK
and possibly some level of documentation.

I know that this is not a lot of information, and I have never
worked with JSR135 Mapping before so please let me know if you have this
experience or know someone that does.

Thanks in advance for your help!
