Alan,
I have an old box I am using in my garage (for BBQ moments), it has an
ole P1 200mhz processor, 96mb RAM, and a 1.6gb hdd. It is a bit slow on
the gui side, but is quite stable. I had rh 8.x on it but now use cd
version of Knoppix 3.3.
Again it is slow, but it does retrieve mail and web sites quite nicely
after the program loads.
