OT: Dell Deal

Southwest Computer Solutions[1] has refurbished Dell Precision 620 WorkStations for $325.

Here are the specs:

* Dual Intel 933Mhz Xeons
* 1Gb RDRAM (Rambus) expandable to 4Gb
* 3 9Gb 10K RPM Ultra 160 SCSI drives (room for four)
* Adaptec dual channel RAID card (supported by aic7xxx.o)
* CD-ROM drive
* Floppy
* AGP 4x ELSA GLoria II Pro graphics card
* No OS but do have Windows NT COA

I got a couple for the office and one for home and they all look very clean (inside and out) with no broken or missing parts. Dell[2] has BIOS upgrades, Users and Service manuals on their site. E-mail me off list (SUBJECT: Dell PDF) for a PDF flyer with addition specs.

These machines are build like a tank and weight 50lbs. New they sold for over $3,000.

Won't have time until after the first to install Linux on them, but KNOPPIX and Mandrake Move booted right up.
