I have had Cox business services for a couple of years. I pay for static
IPs that have changed twice with no notice :(. The second time they didn't
even realize my IPs had changed.
They now have 24/7 tech support. Since about the time the 24/7 phone
support started most of their network outtage problems have gone
away. They still get me once in a while, but it's mostly reliable. Hit and
miss on tech support understanding networking, but the one guy I talked to
who was on the duty pager was knowledgeable.
I often see severe slowdowns on their network. It's annoying, but not like
going back to 64k.
If you can get DSL you'll likely get a better deal, plus you'll get the
choice of ISPs if one pisses you off.
If you do go with cox business services put one of us down as a referral
