usually about 40 different listings , some are flat files and some are
directories like :
1
16597
178
bus
cmdline
cpuinfo
etc.etc.etc. and they all contain the basic status information for all
devices and running states that are a part of the current kernel
operations. I know that files/dirs are created/removed on the fly as
things are added and removed from the system, like usb devices or
kernel modules.
However, I haven't run into it being blank before.
