Subject: fedora core and lilo
hi

i'm running xp and slackware on my laptop. i've
recently been told that trying fedora core 2 might be
the way to go considering how 'everything just works
with it'. anyway i've decided to try it considering
my probs with alsa and my sound card. If nothing else
I would like to try fedora core as an experiment as it
might help me the next time we do an installfest.
People seem to be wanting this distro i've noticed.

the website shows fedora 3 as the latest. any pluggers
out there think I should use an older version for some
reason? One person said to me that version 3 has
memory leaking problems and after a few days it
crashes.

and once i do get it installed I will have to add an
entry to my lilo.conf file and point it to my new
install. Question: does fedora allow you to install
without installing lilo or grub? In slackware I can
choose not to install lilo, that's why I ask. I don't
want fedora to force me to install lilo. just personal
preference really.

mike h
