Problem: Windows can't see FAT32 partitions that I created
under Linux using parted. What step did I skip?
I have a new Western Digital 80GB IDE hard disk as /dev/hdc
on my dual-boot system and have created a bunch of FAT32
partitions using parted.
====
I had a similar problem. 80g drive, winNT, parted created partitions
wouldn't work under windows.
The problem (for me) was Win NT can't use a drive that big. I had to use the
drive manufacturers partitioning utility. That sucked because parted can't
make any adjustments to those partitions later AND the manufacturers utility
wipes out everything when creating a new partition.
If this turns out to be your problem, plan your partitions *very* carefully.
Good luck,
Bart
