QEMU on Linux Running Windows OS - Any Experience

Hoping to find someone with experience running an MS Windows OS (2K or
XP or 98) under QEMU (Debian or RH or other recommendations).

Good experience / bad experience?

How much horsepower (cpu speed / memory / HD) is needed for reasonable
response?
