http://vemod.net/debian/tricks
I found this website about Debian and it mentioned prelinking. I first
heard about it from one of the new dists that claim super speed and one
of the optimizations was prelinking.
Well I gave it a try and I have to say WOW, it has really helped a
lot. Does anyone know about prelinking and if there is a down side to
do it? Why isn't it done by default?
If anyone wants to try it on their Debian system here is a 3 step
version:
apt-get install prelink
vi /etc/default/prelink (change the PRELINKING= to yes)
execute /etc/cron.daily/prelink (to get first run)
