clamscan smb mounts

I have mounted a smb share (that was fun trying to recall
the proper way) and would like to have the ability to can
for viruses using clamscan/freshclam from the Samba server.

I have just discovered c:\Windows (et al) is protected from network access.

Certainly I am not the first to attempt this scanning procedure...
Anyone want to throw me a bone?
