?? writing

Recently, I have been unable to write to the hd at
all!! I can 'install' an os, but then it wont do
anything. This has been going on for a couple weeks
and is driving me crazy.

I cannot get the box to the installfest as it is a
tower and I have to take the bus.

I have 'formatted' and tried all three formats,
ext2,3,riser!!! Still looks good on the install, but
then nothing when I try to start up the install, just
hangs!!!

I have 3 partitions and one swap.

I am on knoppix right now, which doesn't need a hd to
run, just ramdisk and cdrom. Knoppix cannot write a
Kwrite txt to any partition..

I have been using the slackware 10 cd's 1 and 2.

Hum. Never had any problem till lately.
