Couldn't you accomplish the same thing by Bonobo embedding GtkHTML
(which is how Evolution works) or I think the GEdit is even embeddable
(which has syntax highlighting and other cool features). If he asks
again tell him that you think that Windows is inferior because you can't
embedded VIM into your mail client ;)
