The other day I set up CUPS (web interface) on a Slackware 9.1 server,
printed a test page, printed something from Mozilla, and was generally
satisfied. Yesterday, I tried printing a .pdf file from gv, tried
printing from Mozilla, Opera, but to no avail. Test prints still work,
and I have removed and re-added the printer (hp deskjet 5550). Same
results; I can print test pages, but nothing else, even as root. I am
using Foomatic + hpijs. Here's my printers.conf file:
