Xandros Desktop OS Open Circulation Edition
http://www.xandros.com/products/home/desktopoc/dsk_oc_intro.html
A Debian based distro intended for the desktop world. An outgrowth of Coral Linux which some years ago was by far the most newbie friendly Linux distro I could find.
Does NOT have the non-free packages (CrossOver, StarOffice) which are included in the $99.00 Business version. These can be added.
Asked 4 questions:
Where was I? - Phoenix Arizona
What language - English
Did I want to sync the clock over the net? - No, didn't understand this.
Was I left or right handed? - Yes <g>
Went to the corporate DNS (MS) and received it's IP address, no questions asked. This is very, very, very easily changeable by GUI as needed.
It does tend to not like the latest and greatest Video stuff.
It (the free version) is strictly for non-commercial use. 8-(
Dennis, I have a CD (from which I have installed) and can burn you a copy if you like.
I am using the Business version ($99.00) at the office and am very impressed.
BTW, Re: the not for commercial use "Xandros Desktop OS Open Circulation Edition", it's at home now in a very successful, non-commercial way.
