not to answer the question because I don't know the specifics of SuSE
but from cli

route -n

will print routing table - it should be clear what your default gateway
is. On Red Hat, /etc/sysconfig/network should list the default gateway
and if multi-homed, the default gateway device...

#cat /etc/sysconfig/network
NETWORKING=yes
GATEWAY=192.168.1.254
GATEWAYDEV="eth0"
HOSTNAME=localhost.localdomain
