Uversa Consulting is an IT services firm that specializes in application
development and IT consulting services for Linux based platforms. Our
customers are primarily small and medium sized business in the Phoenix
metropolitan area. Our company was formed in early 2003 to address a
large gap in the current consulting services companies in the valley,
which was a lack of support for open-source software solutions.
In addition, Uversa supports many commercial applications and operating
systems for our customers, including the Microsoft products. We try and
find the best blend of commercial applications and open-source software
for our customers.
--- Current Positions ---
Application Developer
Uversa needs an application developer that is skilled in building web
based applications. The ideal candidate will also be skilled in other
programing languages and be capable of developing console and GUI based
applications as well.
The candidate must have the following skills:
* Superb communication skills with both non-technical customers and
technical co-workers
* Outstanding work ethic and a desire to be successful
* Able to meet strict deadlines
* Excellent PHP programing skills
Preferably the candidate will also possess the following skills:
* Programming experience in many languages such as C, C++, Perl, Java,
Bash, etc...
* Experience creating open-source software solutions for businesses
* Experience working in a Linux server environment
Linux Consultant
Uversa needs to add additional Linux Consultants to our staff. These
individuals will be responsible for resolving issues with and managing
our customer's Linux servers. The ideal candidate will also be able to
design Linux solutions to the problems that face our customers.
The candidate must have the following skills:
* Superb communication skills with both non-technical customers and
technical co-workers
* Outstanding work ethic and a desire to be successful
* Able to meet strict deadlines
* Strong Linux experience with the various distributions, Uversa's
preferred distribution is Debian but we support all of main distributions
* Strong experience with common Linux server software packages including
* Mail Servers – qmail, postfix, vpopmail, courier, etc...
* Database Servers – MySQL, Postgres
* Web Servers – Apache, mod_ssl, PHP
* Experience with common shell scripting languages for task automation
