I just loaded Xandros Open Circulation 2.0 and found it to be every bit as impressive as the "not free" XandrOS 2.0 Business.
The install went flawless and was very professional.
Openoffice.org installed by default.
However, I did have to apt-get install gimp and emacs21. They loaded via the Xandros address found in /etc/apt/sources.list. For whatever reason (probably commercial) this is the only address in sources.list. Can't really blame them.
The GUI (Control Center) provides a very simple and straight forward ability to modify most all settings including my personal "arch enemy" "the Network".
I was a bit surprised to find that it installed "Opers Web Browser" instead of Mozilla installed by it's big brother "XandrOS 2.0 Business".
One possible down side is the license. It does not allow commercial use except for development purposes.
I can live with that.
From the stand point of a newbie, I highly recommend as an easy introduction to the geek world.
