Ximian Evolution Types in Reverse

Strange one. Sometimes (not always) when I receive HTML-formatted mail
(gag) and I attempt to reply, my typing shows up in reverse in the body
of the message like this:

Doesn't matter if I type above or below the original msg. Alignment and
indentation have no effect. I have twisted all the knobs in the message
composer window. Weird. I haven't quite figured out what triggers it
with some messages, but the offending pieces are always HTML formatted.
I even tried forcing my reply to be "Plain Text", but it still types in
reverse!

Is this a party trick? Has anyone else enjoyed this little prank?
