How could I tell this? In my attempt to discover this I ran the command
ls /dev/*sd* -l |less
but all that I could find that might have something to do with what we're
talking about <?> is:
crw-rw-rw- 1 root tty 2, 61 2001-04-14 17:43 /dev/ptysd
but putting /dev/ptysd in place of /dev/ttyUSB? didn't help any.
Then there is the string,
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 2004-03-26 07:28 /dev/isdnctrl ->
isdnctrl0
that stood out as different. Unfortunately, isdnctrl0 andctrl gave me the
same old error.
