That is the 64k question...don't know. Maybe a
'special presentation'/installfest with business
mailings once a year? But that would require a lot of
$$$ we don't have. Last thing we want to do is use the
'favorite' method..SPAM them. hehehehe.
This is what I was talking about without the
'business' knowledge you possess. IF we had a machine
and a 'business suit' type happened by and was curious
about business apps, someone with 'business knowledge'
could demo what linux can do for him/her. We would
have a box sitting in the corner already setup to demo
to the 'suit(s)' desire. That is what I was talking
about.
I know it is probably way to late for this to be there
this go around, but maybe at a future installfest. I
believe it would need to be there for each
installfest, sitting in a corner, just waiting for the
right 'suit' to walk in and start asking questions.
One thing it needs to be is a non bleeding edge
performer as MOST businesses are NOT anywhere near
that. Say, a 1-2gb processor, 256mb ram, 20gb hd, 32mb
video...typical business machine specs. If it is too
fast and modern, the suits cannot relate their
machines to it. Just a thought. Over time, say in a
couple years, it could be migrated upward as the
'average' office moves upward.
Just my thoughts...
Wish I had a 1.5gb machine...850 p111
