I don't think that is a supported migration and not one that I would
recommend in any way other than backing all off onto another drive and a
'clean' install.

There are some applications that would be backward movements as RHEL
doesn't always provide the latest updates and often prefers the
tried/tested versions (i.e. Mozilla/openoffice.org/etc.)

web settings are stored in /etc/httpd/conf/ directory

users - I have used webmin to restore users from previous 'passwd' files
but of course, you would have to 're-enter' users passwords - but at
least it would allow you to keep the same userid's so that files copied
forward and then back to the new hard drive would retain the same
ownership
