I wrote a script to do a nightly backup but the cp in the BSD version of
MacOSX doesn't seem to have the same options as Linux. Specifically, I
would (for this purpose) use...
cp -pruv /path/to/source /path/to/target # removing the v for
# the cron script unless I am logging)
but on BSD, it didn't allow the 'u' (update) option so it seems as
though I have no recourse but to copy everything all the time.
Man cp on OSX didn't give me any clues about an 'update' option
Clues?
