This is what is returned with the -i suggestion, thanks by the way.


 grep -i expire /etc/apache/httpd.conf
    #CacheMaxExpire 24
    #CacheDefaultExpire 1



So would that mean that the expire mod for apache is built into the
Debian apache package?
