As a side note, can you tell me what program or utility they are using
to reset all changes on the hard drives ? I am looking for something
similar for a lab/ training environment.

OK I guess I need to give you guys a bit more information. I have a gig
at a
computer lab that allows me to spend a bunch of time on the internet.
All the
computer are either Mac OS 9 or Windows 98/XP Pro. I would like to
access my
computer remotely without any or as little software on the computer lab
end.
Everytime the computers are rebooted any changes to the hard drive are
removed
so a long install would be a pain everyday.

In the same way I would like a family member to be able to log in
remotely from
her job where she is on a XP Pro machine.

How insecure is VNC? Would I be better advised to have an up to date
Windows XP
Pro (I got a legit copy for free from the msft club at ASU...) install
behind a
firwall with remote desktop forwarded to it?

PS my home connection is now dsl (256/256) if that matters)
