It is common for some server/client packages to not advertise more than
2 GB available. I doubt I would spend much time on this puzzle except to
make sure that I had up to date methods nfs/samba/appletalk on both
ends.
As for attachment sizes, IIRC when I posted up the EULA.txt from my
Windows XP Professional SP1, it weighed in at just slightly over 40K,
which was the limit without moderator approval.
