Joy. So I can't blame all you PLUGgers for not submitting calendar events.
My ignorance was showing!
OK, new calendar events rule: If you want something on the PLUG web site
calendar, email the event to the Steering Committee (or just the discuss
list), requesting that the event be placed on the calendar.
Information points needed for a good, informative calendar entry are:
- Event Title *Required
- Event Date *Required
- All day event OR Timed event with Duration (Hours Minutes)
- Event Description *Required
(This can be fairly long but I don't know what the upper limit actually is.
Don't make it too long.)
- Event Category
(Choices are: AZOTO, External Organization, Long distance, PLUG meetings, PLUG
sponsored)
- Event Location: Street, City, State, Postal
- Contact name
- Phone
- Email
- Event Website
- Event Fee (if any)
- Repeating parameters (For example:"first and third Tuesday of every month")
A note on repeating events: The description and all other parameters of a
repeating event will be displayed for every instance of that event. If you
have a repeating event but want custom descriptions for each instance, it is
not a repeating event but is multiple events, one for each instance. Not
that anyone would care too much...
Submit events at will (or at me, if you want (Who's "will?")).
