so much to learn...bash_history

bash history

I decided to play around at home and set up LDAP at home in like less
than 15 minutes. I thought - it would be cool to just tail the last 100
lines from /root/.bash_history only it even though I am in the first
virtual console, it showed me history from a different session. Is there
any way I can get the history from my specific session BEFORE I close
the session. I want the history from that session.
