Until yesterday, I had no idea what I was going to get my wife for
Christmas. In a moment of inspiration brought on by the screams of
frustration generated by my significant other, an idea formed.
It seems that I am physically and psychologically unable to leave a
computer system in a working state for my wife. I have built her many
systems in the past, but within a few weeks to months I find I need a
part or subvert it to run an experiment. Her system pays the price. (My
record is less than one hour from presentation to destruction.)
What I need for her is a computer that is Unix friendly, user friendly,
not overly powerful, and nearly impossible or impractical to
disassemble. The original gumdrop shaped iMac would fit this bill perfectly.
If anyone has an iMac that they are will to part with in exchange for
cash or services, I would be eternally grateful. Not to mention that you
would be saving my life from my wife who will eventually snap due to the
repeated computer withdrawal. Thanks.
