Old SGI fun...

I picked up an Indigo Iris out of ASU surplus (today was half-off day!), sans
any obvious form of data input. The drive bays look evil, with 10-pin power
connectors and nasty little data connectors, but an old-fashioned 50-pin SCSI
port lines the back.

Has anyone else tried one of these boxes with external drives only?

Is there an Irix available with affordable hobbyist licence terms?

Most of all:

How do you get the awful "$4.00 / 12-19" scrawl off the side of the pretty
purple box?
