So many people have been saying it for so many years that it's starting
to loose credibility. This is essentially the 'internet as platform'
argument that scared MS so badly that they violated anti-trust laws.
They clearly aren't scared any more. They don't even maintain their
browser.
I heartily agree with McFarlane that Unix needs an IAC mechanism as
rich as COM. The problem is that there needs to be exactly one such
mechanism. We don't need yet another COM competitor.
