cdrecord uses WAV (or Sun Audio) files.

You can use ogg123 to convert to Sun audio file output or WAV file output.

But maybe not a good idea to use Ogg files, because when compressed loses
some quality. (Probably my ears can't tell; and I have used Ogg Vorbis for
a few years for listening to music.)

Use cdda2wav or cdparanoia to read the audio tracks from the CD in the
first place.
