No it's not. At least not on my browsers because I've disabled that
"functionality" :).
It is an issue, though. Wanting to know where links are taking me is one of
the reasons I disable a web page's ability to muck with the status bar.

Looks like Konqueror 2.2.2 doesn't have these options, but 3.1.3 is
available via debian ( still waiting on some dependencies, though ) and
3.1.4 is available via the KDE web site.
