I haven't tried DVD+RWs yet, but I did have some strange problems with
dvdrecord. It wouldn't even attempt to burn the disc.=20
I found the package 'cdrecord-dvdhack' to work somewhat better. Also,
you might wanna upgrade the firmware on your DVD drive if possible.
