Gnome 2.4

Hi all: Quick question fromthe newbie zone:

I am running gnome-desktop-2.2.0.1-4 on RH9. I heave heard good things
about gnome desktop 2.4 and am tempted to install it.

Do I / should I need an rpm for this? Can't seem to find one...
(I *have* found http://tinyurl.com/w7y1 which seems thorough...)

Any advice on steps to take or avoid would be appreciated.
If none, I will plunge ahead as usual.
