What signifigance does 'bounce' have on spam?

if you don't know bounce is on kmail and it sends back a message that will:
Return the message to the sender as undeliverable?
This will only work if the email address of the sender, [senders address], is
valid.
The failing address will be reported to be bmike1@vei.net.
