StarOffice is not released under the GPL. It has proprietary stuff from Sun=
=2E
For the most part they plan on taking improvements to OO.o and adding them
to SO. They require code contributors to OO.o assign copyright to Sun, so
they can steal from OO.o all they want.
Not bagging on Sun (much). They've released a good portion of the old Star
Office. They appear to mostly be 'selling' Star Office as a way for busines=
s
customers to get their 'got to buy it for it to be good' kicks and for
filters they apparently couldn't release due to the code belonging to some
other entity.
