Isn't there a place to get free certificates? I thought is was
freessl.com. Last year I got a few and remember the process being very
weird, something like:

send them a phone number and extention
they call you
your screen gets a popup with some choices and you select a choice based
upon what they tell you in the call.
you get the cert.
